Welcome to the new site!

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to welcome you all to the new site for The Eastern Shore Bluegrass Association.  I built this site at the request of my father, Dave Stewart, and because I grew up going to the shows at Marydel, and want to see the ESBA grow and continue for future generations. The first time I actually made any money making music was at an ESBA show, playing rhythm guitar (I can’t remember what group I played with).  I never cashed the check, and soon after the show my dad  framed it (so if the treasury has been off by $9.00 for the past 18 years, it’s my fault). It’s sitting on my bookcase right now, and will be stay there until I’m old and senile and start loosing things. I currently reside in Nashville, TN, Music City USA. I work for the Sun Record Company, and I’m also a recording engineer and sudo-record producer. I’ve worked on quite a few bluegrass projects and the occasional gospel album. If you have any questions about making a record, or just a demo cd, or even if you need some advise on your bands PA system, feel free to drop me a line. You can reach me at james [at] easternshorebluegrass [dot] com

I hope you’ll all contribute to help grow this website, and the ESBA. Bluegrass and old-time music is an American treasure that needs to be preserved and passed on, and we can’t rely on modern music or record labels to help in that regard. If you have a story you’d like to post, just email it to myself or my father and we’ll get it online asap. You can also leave comments on any of the posts, so go ahead and make your voice heard.

Thanks!

James Stewart
